Will Nest Camera Battery still record when event length is greater than max clip length?

Hi,

I am looking to pick up a Nest Camera battery. I noticed there are some settings on the event length the camera can record. If I set event length to be 30 seconds, when a motion is triggered and the motion lasts to above 31st second, will the camera still record the event after 31st second? If not, what is the cool down time for the camera to start recording the motion again?
