Wired Camera on Battery?

Moonfox

I just noticed that my wired Nest cam in my backyard shows a battery symbol on the live feed. The symbol appears to be less than half. The camera has always been plugged in, never disconnected, and hasn't had any problems in the last 13 months since I had it installed. The cable appears to still be plugged in securely. Why isn't it receiving power?

@Moonfox

Your post says you have the Nest Cam with Floodlight. Some customers in this forum have discovered they have inadvertently turned off the switch for the circuit that powers their floodlights.

Otherwise, what you're reporting shouldn't happen. We've had a battery camera without floodlight, plugged in for 2 years, and it's always showing as "Plugged in".

I thought that might be the case, as I noticed my son had switched off the switch. However, even after turning it back on, the battery symbol is still on the live feed.

Hello everyone,

@Moonfox, I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries; we'll check this out. Have you tried doing a factory reset on your Nest Cam Floodlight? Here is a link on how to restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell.

@Wally1, i'm happy to hear that this has been sorted out. If you need further help, let me know.

I appreciate the help, @MplsCustomer.

Best,
Edmond
