Wired Google Nest Camera Setup on MacBook - flashing yellow light

R-W

Hi

When I plug my indoor Google nest cam into my MacBook USB-C socket all I get is a flashing yellow light on the camera. I have tried all of the USB-C sockets and have reversed the USB-C cable. The connection from the camera USB plug to the USB-C socket is with a single Apple adapter.

The Nest web page does not recognize the camera and the Nest icon does not appear on my Mac to install the camera.

Help will be gratefully received

thanks

R-W

@R-W

These are not meant to be ran off of a computer. The camera requires a steady/strong power connection and the computer isn't going to provide that for you. I would suggest that you plug it into an actual power outlet to stay powered.

Best regards,

Brad.
