Won’t reconnect to WiFi after changing WiFi password

  • Nest hub max, doorbell and 2 cameras won’t reconnect to WiFi after changing WiFi password. The thermostat does connect to new WiFi password. Factory reset everything and did all troubleshooting. Tried a WiFi hotspot with my phone and it connects but then after hub is on it can’t finish setting up because it can’t connect to assisting device.

I wish Google would address this. From all the postings about this issue in this forum, it seems really problematic to change the WiFi SSID and/or password on existing Google Nest cameras and doorbells. Google should provide clear instructions for doing so.

When we changed our router awhile back, we configured it with the same SSID and password, so all our devices worked without needing to reconfigure them.
