bad charge cable

Spent 45 mins on the phone with customer support trying to get a replacement for a bad cable out of the box.  Bad cable has only 3 electrodes on the magnetic end.  I can buy a new one from google for $14.99 but i thought... no dice!  45 mins twice and they cannot figure out how to ship me a cable.  What a joke!  Google customer support is useless and helpless!  Buy a different camera!!

The support team has no knowledge or understanding of the products they are trying to support.

They asked me;

Serial Number (twice)

What product it was (I gave them the serial number already)

What cable was defective (There is only 1 cable that comes in the box with that product)

Could I send them pictures of the cable?

Do I know if it is under warranty?

 

45 minutes last week and 1 hour 13 minutes last night!  No confirmation of a cable being shipped yet!  I could probably walk to China to get one curbside faster than using Google Customer Support!
