doorbell keeps disconnecting

Doorbell keeps disconnecting from wifi. It continues to display a solid green light. Resetting the device has not resolved the issue. Multimeter shows about 22v at the doorbell so power is not an issue. Home network has been solid and the nearest access point is about 15 ft away with fiber internet so bandwidth or network is not an issue. It's 40* F so temperature is not an issue either.

 

I was able to get the device to connect by plugging the device to a USB cable and then about 5 minutes after reinstallation the device has disconnected. It was originally installed in the first week of December and has not been an issue until today.

Just to be sure, I've restarted my wifi network, and the restarted the nest doorbell. Just as before it reconnected to the network on restart and then disconnected again from the network after a minute.

This is happening to me too. I get 5-10 notifications a day at least at this point. No amount of resetting has helped. This is getting extremely frustrating. 

I ended up calling their support. They were unable to fix the device but they did send a replacement.

Hi @Brad,

I've been having the same issues with my Nest Hello Doorbell (Software 4110054) now for over a year (started in December 2021). I thought that it was my Ubiquiti NanoHD fault since it all started happening sometime after the AP firmware update. But then rolled back to the previous version, waited and installed new versions, still had issues, restarted everything a hundred times, did all sorts of changes in the WiFi settings, set it up from ground up, even changed the AP to a different brand, and still having issues with keeping constant connection. Nest Hello Doorbell is dropping connection every few minutes or even seconds (saying Your camera isn't connected). It's totally unusable for over a year. It's hard to even change the WiFi setting on the Doorbell as it keeps losing connection. I have a sticker beside it saying "Please knock". Not sure why I'm paying Nest Aware if I can not use it as it doesn't record anything or notify me...

Please help.
