Open the Google Home app, click on the plus sign (+) in the upper left corner, select "Set up device", and follow the instructions.

If your Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) was used by a previous homeowner, that person has to first remove the doorbell from their Google Home app.

Ok I I got it set up but now the doorbell does not chime inside any ideas? I tried the quiet time button but that did not help.

We have Nest Hello doorbells (where there is an "Indoor chime On/Off" option in the Google Nest app). I don't know whether there's an equivalent option in the Google Home app for the battery doorbell.

You can also check transformer compatibility here:

Is your battery doorbell wired?  If not, it can't ring your indoor chime.

As Mpls mentioned, there is a setting in the Home app to turn on indoor chime.  It defaults to off.  This all assumes that the doorbell is in fact wired-in, and that the transformer meets the specs.   Some people don't' wire it up, and just use it as a battery doorbell.
