I got a google nest cam, the wired one. i set it up inside my home and got it all working. i unplugged it to move it outside because the outside outlet is very annoying to deal with, i figured i’d set it up, then move it outside. once i plugged it back in outside. the light on the top only blinks yellow and i try to “reset” it from the little pin hole in the back of the camera and that seems to do nothing and i’m not sure what to do.

Same issue here except I didn’t move my camera, unplug it or disconnect it from WiFi. It just started blinking yellow and I’m unable to reset it to reconnect.

Same thing happened to me. I had a yellow blinking light and tried to reboot it using a pin on the small button but nothing was happening.
Turns out the cable wasn’t plugged in all the way into the power adapter. My suggestion is to check if it is plugged in all the way. Could also mean it might have something to do with the cable.

After a week of back and forth with Google/Nest technical support, we all arrived at the same conclusion that the wifi chip had failed in the camera itself. Unfortunately for me, it was a first gen Dropcam camera, well beyond warranty, so I've got to replace it (on my own dime). They just don't make IP cameras like they used to!

Brad - Sorry for the late reply to this, but I gave up on the Nest since it seems I was unable to get it back online. I wanted it to work, but the rest of the level 2 analysts put forth some suggestions, and nothing seemed to work. If there was a place to send it in to see if it could be checked, or a way to check it remotely through a video chat, I'd be open to that.

I am afraid that I do not know of any place like that, but you can try and look into it more locally. At this time, I'll go ahead and lock this thread. If you're still experiencing problems, feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.
Best Regards,
Brad.
