google nest invites

I invite a family member and after i send the invite it lists a i different email
in one instance it simply capitalized the first two letters
in the second instance it switched the invite from hotmail to gmail

and the intended recipient says he never got the email


I tested it out with other accounts/people and i don't get this issue . any ideas?

Household members for a Google Nest "home" have to have a Google (gmail) Account; that might be why the invitation process is changing the invitation from Hotmail to Gmail.
