nest doorbell faceplate is peeling

Hi, my nest doorbell works beautifully except it has recently started peeling and cracking all over. it is not in direct sun and I notice several others have reported this issue also, and been assisted to obtain a replacement. That is what I'm interested in help with please. Mine is approximately 2 years old.
