nest doorbell trying to change ringtone but doorbell not listed in settings

Trying to change the ring chime on my Nest Doorbell. If I follow the instructions online, (e.g. 1. Open the Google Home app; 2. Select the doorbell from the Cameras tab; 3. Tap the Settings icon; 4. Tap Doorbell) doorbell is not listed in the setting menu options. Listed in the doorbell setting menu is: Name, Home, Room, Voice notifications, Familiar face detection, video recording, delete video history. (The menu looks different from my other cameras' setting menu. When I click settings on my other cameras, I get the menu you are suppose to get when you follow the instructions above, minus the doorbell option, obviously, since they are just cameras.) If I go to live view in the Nest app and click settings, doorbell does not show up in that menu either, only chime duration. There is no option to change the chime itself. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions? Thanks.

From your description, you have a 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell. (We have three of them.) Unless you nave "transferred" your 1st gen doorbell from the Google Nest app to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app, you can see your doorbell in the Google Home app but you can only configure your doorbell in the Google Nest app.

The "Doorbell themes" option (aka ringtones) does not appear under Settings in the Google Nest app at this time of the year because doorbell themes are seasonal and are ONLY available around some holidays:
