nest outdoor cam dead after two years

just got off chat with Google, with them letting me know that my two year old nest cam is out of warranty. The unit is dead and after confirming all the troubleshooting tasks with them, they informed me that there’s nothing they could do. I find it wild that this camera is not given any sort of support. it’s absurd that this highly expensive product dies and on top of it does not have any sort of warranty passed a single year. very disappointing.

Hey there,

Sorry to hear we weren't able to assist you with a replacement as your warranty was expired. I am afraid there isn't any further steps we can take to assist you with this in the forums. We’re always looking for ways to improve, and appreciate your feedback. You can send it at any time using your devices by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback," or by following the steps found here

Best regards,
Brad

Brad -- Its crazy that a camera that goes for $200+ has a one year warranty. It just doesnt make sense how your company believes that if it breaks after ONE YEAR OF USE, the customer is  screwed  over?

So  is that it? My camera which died after normal use is just a big heavy paperweight?
