I've tried everything I've seen on the internet but I still can't get my Google doorbell to connect.  I have 6 google speakers, multiple cync lights, and a security linked just fine.

I've even updated my firmware on my router removed my devices, added them back (that took hours) and still nothing for the doorbell!  It says "Couldn't connect to nest assisting device".  Then says it can't connect to my Home network... when I can clearly see wifi is working fine and everything is connected.  Well, except for the Cync lights.... I can't get those connected after my router upgrade even though it sees them and I've unlinked and reconnected the cync account multiple times.

This is so frustrating. I've spent 10+hrs trying to figure this out.

Have you tried temporarily powering off your other Nest or Home devices, then move the camera close to your router and retry setup?

I ended up calling google support and it was the nest thermostat. It was "in the way" so to speak.

All I had to do was remove it from my Home app, add the doorbell, then add the thermostat back.  Worked perfectly. The google support person was familiar with the issue.

Sorry for late reply.
