unable to stream live

Google cameras are the worst! I can stream live for about 2 seconds at a time. Or not at all. They never work. What’s the point of a camera if you can’t see what’s going on? My Wi-Fi works great. My nest doorbell camera is awesome and never had an issue and that’s why I went with 2 outdoor floodlight cameras. Terrible mistake. If someone tells me to reset the camera I’m gonna lose it. We spend all this money for something that needs rest every couple weeks. Figure it out google!

Hi Lawman121,

I'm sorry for the inconvenience — let's get this sorted out.  A few questions: what is the color of the status light? Do you have an iOS or Android device? How far are the cameras from the Wi-Fi router? Do you have any Wi-Fi repeaters or extenders ?

Let's try these troubleshooting steps below:

  • Check if the live video is available on the web app, log in to https://goo.gle/2UZL8VI.
  • If you have other family members added to the home structure, check if the same issue occurs on their devices.
  • Turn the camera off in the Home app, wait about 30 seconds, and then the camera back on again. Follow the steps here: Turn Nest camera on or off.
  • Connect the cameras to a different power source if available.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Lance
