When will the older nest cameras work with google home app

I recently purchased a newer google nest flood light camera. I was previously just using the nest app but now I have to use the google home app. I am fine with that,  but my 4 older nest cameras won’t send notifications through  the google home app. I already looked in settings and the cameras show up but will not let me change notifications for my older style nest camera’s.  I read previous post from people that posted the same issue a year ago.  Just wondering why google has not fixed this issue yet.

Our older Google Nest cameras and doorbells are still fully supported only in the Google Nest app. We've been using 2 apps since acquiring a battery camera in Sept. 2021.

Google Nest says this: "In July, Public Preview users of the Home app will be able to begin transferring some of our original Nest cameras to the new camera experience in the Home app, starting with first generation Nest Cam Indoor and followed by Nest Cam Outdoor."
