Ambient mode comes on about every hour while I'm watching a show, is there a way to disable or control ambient mode?

Hi SteveC1975,
The ambient mode is designed to stop screen burn-in. I have seen other users that have used the 'stay awake' option within the developer options for this but you must first activate developer mode on the device to see these options.

Hey there SteveC1975,
You are able to disable Ambient Mode using the Developer Mode settings. To activate Developer mode, go to Settings, System, About, Android TV OS Build and keep clicking on that option until it says "Developer Mode enabled". Then you'll want to go to the Developer Tools and looks for the option to Stay Awake.
That's all there is to it! Let me know if you had any other questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Jeran

Thanks, that was very helpful and I was able to disable ambient mode. I'll have to wait to see if it works, I'm sure it will.

No problem at all! I'll leave the thread open for a few days to make sure everything is working properly, or if you have any other questions for us.
