I recently purchased a TCL Android powered tv with built in Chromecast.
The ambient photos stream fine and displays the correct time as per my presets.
The images are curated by Google as per presets.
My issue is that there is no info posted re location, title, photographer.
My previous tv had a Chromecast dangle attached to the HDMI port where this info was displayed.

Google goes back and forth about supplying additional information in Ambient Mode.
Currently, they aren't posting that.
Also, the manufacturer of the TV with Chromecast Built-In can also change Ambient Mode. So, it's possible that your manufacturer did something.
Either way, it is not something you can control yourself.

Thanks for the question.
It looks like the option to view info about Google images is no longer available, based on the answer above.
I had hoped that there was an option in one of the setup screens I may have missed
but that does not seem to be the case.
I sure wish that in future that this option was available. Most art. Be it paintings or photographs carry some info about itself but that does not appear to be the case here, at least not at the moment.
Sure wish that someone changes their mind re this issue.
