Apps on Chromecast using 4g router

CooncieloM

Hi,

So, we have an old POS Vizio TV, but it has an HTML port so we bought a Google Dongle (Chromecast) and use that with various streaming apps for our TV viewing

We use a 4g Router which creates a wifi signal and can stream YouTubeTV without any issue, but other Apps, like MAX or Peacock, the apps won't connect but state there is some issue. I figured out it is related to our 4g router as we were able to connect to the apps when connected to another wifi signal that's not 4g based.

Anyone know of a solution?

Thanks,

Mike (CooncieloM)

Hi CooncieloM,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Based on your description, it seems that your Chromecast device is working as intended. There’s just something on the network or the router that causes this. It could be settings and configuration or server-related issues. I suggest you reach out to your router manufacturer. If they have a forum or community help site like this, perhaps other users may have answers for this.

Let us know if you still have questions or concerns about your Chromecast device.

Thanks,

Kimy
