I cannot find a BBC News app on chromecast. Is there not an app available yet on chromecast?

If your a resident of the United Kingdom you can install the BBC iPlayer.
Alternatively, you can install BBC news on the phone and cast from it.

Developers have to make their apps compatible with the Android TV interface that is on your Chromecast with Google TV device. Many of them have, but many of them have not.
For instance, the BBC America apps work with my Chromecast with Google TV, but I have to run it from my phone or tablet. I can't install it onto my Chromecast.
There is a way to check. Use the web version of the play store https://play.google.com, login to your account, search for the app, and then look for text that says something like "This app is available for some of your devices." Click on that text and you'll get a list of all of the devices on your account (including your Chromecast with Google TV) and a check next to the name if you can install it and an X next to the name if you can't.

It looks like Cyn1 accepted djtetei's and Byteguy's answers, and it's been a couple of days, so I'm locking the thread. As always, feel free to make a new thread if you have any more questions or concerns.
Thank you for your help, djtetei and Byteguy!
