Built in google casting freezes

brendo

I'm recently bought a Quest Pro VR headset and tried to cast the screen onto my Smart tv using built in chromecast and it keeps freezing on the TV. I get it connected, it works for about 5 minutes, and then I take off my headset and I see the TV screen frozen from a few minutes ago. I disconnect and re-cast but it keeps disconnecting after a few minutes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the chromecast app, restarting the TV and making sure everything is updated. Google please help with this problem. My internet is literally right next to the TV so the internet connection should not be an issue.

Hey there matured,

I apologize for the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that freezing issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out where I can. First, go ahead and make sure that your Google Home app, the TV's firmware, and any app the Quest Pro uses are up-to-date. Then, go ahead and factory reset the TV. If the problem persists, go ahead and reach out to your TV's manufacturer. Chromecast built-in is open-source software, and the manufacturer would modify the code, so they may be aware of any issues or bugs.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran
