Hey there everyone,
I'm really sorry to hear that all of you are experiencing this. In this case, you would want to speak with Chromecast Support. Would you be able to fill out this form, so that support can reach out to you via e-mail, then let me know when you have done so?
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Same here, is anyone at Google aware of this? Definitely looks like a software update gone wrong as nothing's changed in terms of my setup.

My screen is showing the google logo and the LED light is solid white. But, nothing is happening. It’s been this way since yesterday. I don’t know what’s wrong. I’ve tried disconnecting the chrome cast twice and leaving it that way for a full hour. I’ve turned the tv on and off again. Nothing is working. I’m out of options.

My Chromecast stopped working around the same time. It is constantly rebooting and showing the spinning wheel and occasionally shows the Google logo. I've factory reset it, reset my router, and made sure it is using the original power adapter. Nothing helps. I've had it for two years so it isn't under warranty. I guess they didn't build it to last.

It seems like the Invoice date shows that your Chromecast with Google TV (4K) warranty has already expired, and we recommend you to get a replacement from Google Store.

Thats not good enough? 🤬
You didnt brake it!

The fact that this happened to multiple users on the same date leads me to believe google is at a fault. I’d never buy another Chromecast after this experience…and likely no other google products in the future.

Same here. Posting to follow the updates if any. Submitted the form

I was sent a replacement and I'm 100% positive it was a software issue caused by a recent update from Google - once I had plugged in the new Chromecast, it was the same black screen with a Google logo on it but this time there was a progress bar that would eventually fill and then it would show a setup screen.

Witch way did you contact google for a replacement? From the form postet ealier?

I requested a callback via contact page and got a phone call from their customer service straight away. Luckily my Chromecast was still under a warranty.
