Can't find my TV in the setup for Chrome Cast with Google TV

Hi, not able to find my TV in the Chromecast with Google TV setup. Therefore unable to control the TV with the remote. Is is possible to learn the original TV remote?

There's no learning function unfortunately. You can use some trial and error by selecting the other manufacturer's listed. Alternatively, try a Google search or see if they have forums to see if someone else may have found one that works for your brand of TV.

Well, I have tried almost all TVs in the list and tried 100s of combinations. Not a single hit. So - a bit disappointed

Hey there Hramvi,

 

I'd be pretty disappointed as well; that's no good to hear. In this case, I'd recommend submitting feedback to Google to let them know that your Marine TV doesn't function with the Chromecast Voice Remote. In the meantime, if you are able to get the Chromecast set up, you can try using the Virtual Remote in the Google Home app.
