Can you play Audio on a Soundbar through Chromecast connected to a dumb TV?

Hi -

I have a dumb TV I use an HDMI Chromecast with. That Chromecast is connected to my Google Home. I want to play audio through a soundbar I have connected to my google home via Samsung SmartThings. Will this work?

Can't seem to select the audio to play through my soundbar while the Video play on my dumb TV.

Thanks,

You can't split the audio and video and send them to different devices.

You would have to connect your Chromecast device to your TV and then physically connect your soundbar to the TV.

Then, when you play the video on the Chromecast, your TV will show the video on the screen and push the sound out to the soundbar.

If your soundbar has bluetooth, you could make it work with the chromecast with google tv (it supports bluetooth), the chromecast 2nd generation, I don't think so.
