Cannot open apps or settings on Chromecast w/ Google TV

I am having an issue on my CCGTV where I can move the cursor around but can't select anything. This happens on the main menu and I cannot open any app or open the settings. The problem is the same on my remote and my Stadia controller. Eventually after pressing the home button several times or unplugging and restarting it will work. This seems like a hung app, but it also prevents me from force stopping apps as I cannot open the settings. Also, it is in Apps Only mode if that makes any difference.

At this point, I've just given up trying to use the CCGTV at all. It's been much more trouble than it's worth. I'm using my old Chromecast Ultra instead. Maybe I'll try the CCGTV again after the next major update.

Hi JE2,

 

Thanks for reaching out for being a step ahead of us. Please try to plug in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV and remove the batteries in your Voice Remote and put it back in after 5 minutes. Resetting your Chromecast with Google TV might also help.

I tried all of that before I posted here, I even did a full factory reset on my CCGTV. None of it made any difference.
