Hello! I bought my Google Chromecast recently and I've been having a blast.
Now i want subscribe and watch star+, the app is even suggested to me but when I want to download it, it shows me a message sating "my device is not compatible with this version"
I am at a loss, how is it not compatible? The device is pretty new?
Need assistance please

Hi Andresnb,
It is the service provider that chooses what devices their app can be installed on so please contact them to request they make it available for the Chromecast with Google TV.
In the meantime you should be able to download the app on your mobile device and then cast from your device to the Chromecast with Google TV.

Cathal

I think that is not the problem at all. Star+ seems to be a latin america app only. I am currently living here and I had a pay profile in the US. Now I made another one in Ecuador but I am still unable to download it.
Still at a loss here. I don't know if I need to wait or reset the chromecast

Hi again,
Have a look at the link below and you will see that the Chromecast with Google TV is not listed as a supported device.

It is! Like I tell you I think it has to do with our countries. I'm in Ecuador and it tells me it is compatible.
Google Chromecast es compatible con la aplicación de Star+ y te permite acceder a todo el contenido. ---- Here it says that chromecast IS compatible
Puedes transmitir video a tu Chromecast desde:
It is not available on the US, I am pretty sure of that, that is why you get the opposite information

Hi again,
Yes as I said above, you can cast from a mobile device that is running the Star + app to a Chromecast.
There is no mention that the Star + app is compatible for installation on a Chromecast with Google TV device.

My mobile device also does not accept star + and I know for a fact that people here do use it

They are possibly sideloading the app.
While Google doesn't advise you to install apps that are not available from it's own Play store it is certainly possible.
Please be advised that apps installed this way might contain malware or viruses.
