Cast from PC to TV stops after a few minutes

Hi,

I am casting a Google Docs Tab to the TV and it stops after a couple of minutes.

When I look for settings in google home, it shows up blank and I have altered all the settings I can see on the TV and under our profile on the TV.

Any help would be appreciated thank you

Check the following items:

  • ensure that both the Chromecast with Google TV and the PC are connected to same WiFi network, on the same bandwidth (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz). Use 5 GHz if available on both devices.
  • if the Chromecast with Google TV USB power cable is connected directly to the TV USB port, disconnect it and use the power adaptor
  • ensure the distance between the PC and the Google Chromecast with Google TV device is under 6 meters and that there are no object that can "screen" the signal
  • ensure that Google Home application and Google Chrome browser are up to date
  • check PC security software settings (deactivate if needed)
  • ensure that the router software is up to date. If available, update the software and restart the router.
  • acces router settings interface, disable AP isolation feature and restart the router
  • unplug the router from the mains power for about 5 minutes
  • unplug Chromecast device from main power for about 5 minutes
