Casting from Vimeo

I purchased documentaries on Vimeo.

I can cast the trailers of the documentaries,  but not the the full documentaries.  It starts to cast but ends with no error messages.  Any ideas because I think the problem is with Vimeo?

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast device do you have connected to your TV? Is this isolated to the Vimeo app only? What steps have you taken?

 

Based on your description, the app itself works fine when you cast, but it seems to act that way as you cast purchased content. There could be encryption or some sort of protection on the file (purchased movies, videos, etc.), as it triggers when you cast it. It seems to recognize the action as a violation of copyright since it plays the content outside its designated platform. If it’s a purchased movie or content from the Play Store, we usually refer users to Google Play. I suggest you contact Vimeo to correct the playable platforms. Or they may have a different approach to getting it working. We look forward to your response.
