Casting problem - BBC I player and itvx

For years I've been able to cast from my laptop to tv- both live stream and on demand programmes on BBC iPlayer and itv ( hub , now itvx) . Chromecast still connects but will only show live stream on BBC iPlayer ...if I try to view an on demand programme the purple 'ready to cast ' screen appears and on itvx even to watch live stream the moment 'play' is selected , the cast goes off of the TV screen . Please help

Now, what operating system are you using on your laptop? Also, are you able to cast from any other devices, such as a phone or tablet?
