Ccwgtv Bluetooth audio delay

pepepapa82

Hi,

I've got a view sonic projector with my ccwgtv, I've tried connecting 2 different Bluetooth speakers in the wall side and both have a big delay in audio all apps, YT, Netflix, Prime, etc. It's not watchable at this point.

I've read this happens a lot, and tried switching off soround sound, but delay is still there.

Any suggestions? Workaround?

Google: Are there fix coming soon?

I can't believe there's no audio calibration in gtv, like there is in Google home. One of my speakers is JBL playlist (with home integration)

I've been using an Android 5(!) generic tv box before and no audio lags!! This is frustrating.

Thanks!!

Me too. I just bought two Nest Audio following your advertisement and technical specification.

Ok, you're joking with your customers!

When I connect the audio pair to my videoprojector the audio delay is about 2 seconds.

When I connect the audio pair to my Google TV the delay is about half second and most of the time one of the channel (the slave one) disconnect and I listen only mono sound.

I'm evaluating a return of everything and the move to Amazon ecosystem!

I've an update.

It seems that the stereo reproduction is more stable when connecting the pair to my TV or my videoprojector.

Running with those devices I'm experiencing a new issue: the pair sounds with an unacceptable delay of about 1 second.

To recap:

- with Google TV the delay is almost ok but the pair doesn't work and it happens that only one device play sounds.

- when playing with TV and projector the pair runs properly with a huge delay.

Hey Dario72,

Thank you for the update on this! I've seen a couple of fixes online that may help to resolve this issue. One user was able to fix it by changing the audio output in their HDMI port to PCM. It was set to bitstream by default. Another user was able to resolve it by disabling surround sound, however I don't see this as a viable fix if you want surround sound.

If these options don't resolve the issue for you, I would encourage you to submit feedback via the Google Home app, noting what speakers you were using when you encountered the problem.

I look forward to your response!

Best regards,

Jeran

Hey there pepepapa82,

I apologize about the late response on this thread, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that audio delay issue? If not, I'd be happy to look into this, as I know audio issues are incredibly frustrating. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • What is the firmware version of your Chromecast?
  • Does the issue occur when the Chromecast is plugged into a different HDMI port?
  • Are you able to see if choosing PCM instead of Bitstream for the HDMI audio resolves this issue?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran
