Chrome cast aduio issue

I have a chrome cast 4k hooked up to a viso TV both are newly purchased and when I try to use the chrome cast it won't have audio. The TV aduio works when I switch it to cable but the chrome cast it self doest not. Is there any way to fix this issue ?

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast device are you using? Is this happening when you are casting? Or is it happening when playing installed apps (Google TV versions)? Also, what steps have you taken? It may not be the TV’s speaker, but it could be HDMI communication. Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

 

  • Move it to a different HDMI port on the TV.
  • Reboot your Chromecast device, TV, and Wi-Fi router.
  • If it persists, do a factory reset, then set it up again.
