Just bought a cromecast with TV and the suggested apps are from a different country which I am unable to use since those apps are not supported by my country.
Also, the apps from my country are not running since the chrome cast thinks I am in another country so gives me an error again.
I am able to use Netflix and Prime as they work in both countries but not much else.
Would appreciate any help on how to resolve this.

Update. Found how to fix this issue. Basically there was a payment method from my old location still on my account (along with a new one for the new location). The system was just getting confused so I deleted the old payment method and now everything is working fine.

Also found a “location status” option in setting - under “privacy”.
I tried updating it from “off” to “use wi-fi to estimate location” but that dosent happen. After I clicked on that option, it’s been updating for the last 15 mins with no change. I pressed the home button and went back to the settings. The location still reflects as Off

Thanks for posting and for doing some steps beforehand — these are of great help! May I know which country you are from, Harsh04? Please reboot your Chromecast and try again. If the issue persists, factory reset your Chromecast.

Hey there laurenceross12,
Do you have your location set in the Google Home app, or a debit card added onto Google Play on the Chromecast? These are other ways that Google narrows down your location, so I would set those both up, then check your Chromecast device. If it still doesn't pick up the correct location, factory reset it again.
