Chrome cast with Google tv stuck on loading screen

I attempted to do a factory reset on the physical device by holding down on the little bottom but still stuck. I unplugged the device for 24hrs and attempted again, same result.

Hey there luckieseite,

 

I'm sorry that your Chromecast with Google TV is having this booting issue! This can be quite the headache, so I'd be happy to help you figure this out. In case the first factory reset you tried didn't work, here are the instructions again:

  1. While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press then hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED should start to blink yellow.
  2. When the LED light turns solid white, release the button, and the Chromecast should then reset.

If that doesn't work, try using a different HDMI port, or even a different TV to see if the problem persists.

I have tried a new TV along with HDMI ports. I have also held the button on the chrome cast but the light never blinks yellow and resets. 
Any other options I can explore?

Hey luckieseite,

 

With this particular model of Chromecast, you can either factory reset it using the button on the side of the dongle, or by selecting the option in the Google TV settings. However, since you cannot access those settings, we may need to look at replacing that device.
