Chromecast 3 - Settings not available

Hello,

i m not able to configure any settings, because there are no options available, just a white screen (Google home app). To cast a stream is not a problem, it is working like a charme... but i m not able to i.e. change from 50 to 60hz because it is not listet.. nothing is listed.. any idea? (facctory reset etc. doens n help)

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix those settings? If not, I'd be happy to help out! I know these particular issues can be a pain to troubleshoot on your own, so let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • What is the firmware version on your Chromecast?
  • Have you already remove the Chromecast from your Home, and re-added it?
  • Are you able to see the device settings from another phone?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

Hello Jeran,

unfortunately i couldn't fix the issue... 

- i don t know when it started?! 

- FW ->the latest one (actually i m not at home, so i can't check it right now)

- yes, twice

- no, neither android nor ipad 😞

- i set it back to factory default for 3 or 4 times... i can stream, but i cant change any settings, because there are no options visible.. just a white screen.

That is an interesting issue! If you have the time, would you be able to contact Chromecast support? They should be able to work with you a little deeper to try to figure out where the issue is on this.
