Couldn't connect Google Home to Chromecast after altering some router settings under the instruction of ISP. Apparently an old Chromecast cannot connect to 5G network! Issue resolved when I reconfigured the router to show original network along with 5G. Make sure your device and Chromecast are on the same network. Hope this will save you some time.

Ra3Ra3, are you also experiencing the same issue? What type of Chromecast device do you have? If you're not familiar with your router settings, I'd suggest you reach out to your Internet service provider to further assist you.
