I have two chromecasts. They refuse to show the correct date on their ambients. I've rebooted many times, and it hasn't helped. They dont even show the same wrong date as each other most of the time. They seem partial to the dates August 24 and May 31. They jump around a lot though, as a matter of fact, one just jumped from May 31 to August 24 while I was writing. The time zone is correct and the time is correct. Its starting to bug me. Any help is appreciated. Hopefully I won't have to factory reset though.

i hate to say it but a factory reset is probably the most painless option here. Luckily they take less than 5 minutes to complete !

Oh. I guess if theres no more suggestions by tomorrow I'll try. Hopefully it'll work.

My only other suggestion is a bit odd... Try changing your location in your Google account to another time zone... Accept the change..then change it back to your proper one.

Makes sense, but sadly doesn't work.

What type of Chromecast ? If it's anything but the CcWGTV then the factory reset is painless.. I'm curious to know if this works for you

Well it worked but it didn't. I realized because of the reset, the rest of the ambients dont have the date. I now realize the date thesis whole time has been the day the photos were taken/uploaded. Sorry to waste your time

Hey there!
It looks like Cardboard_Face was able to solve the problem, so I'm locking the thread. As always, feel free to make a new thread if you have any more questions or concerns.
Thank you for your help, Asheperdson!
Best regards,
Jeran
