Chromecast Google TV Remote does not support Anthem Receivers.

When setting up the Remote hoping to control the volume to my CEC enabled Anthem MRX 1120 receiver, there is no option to select manufacturer Anthem. There's a plethora of other common ones like Sony, Yamaha, Onkyo, Denon, etc. If I randomly select a manufacturer and then try through all 10 codes to get the remote volume button to work, none of them will.

For comparison, my old 5th gen Apple TV remote is able to control my Anthem receiver volume without issues.

I would like to request that the Anthem receiver codes be included in a future firmware update, or please let me know how I can work around this. Thanks.

Hey there,

I'm real sorry about the late response on this, thank you for being patient! It's pretty disheartening when your devices aren't listed in the available options for the Chromecast with Google TV and the Chromecast Voice Remote. If you have already tried using another companies codes with no success, the only thing I can suggest for now is to submit feedback via Google TV. This way, you can let Google know what devices you'd like to see support for.

I am sorry I couldn't have been more helpful, but if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.

Best regards,
Jeran

I too am unable to get it working with any of the listed brands and combinations. I have the Anthem MRX310 for reference. Just submitted feedback via Google TV. I did get the on/off to at least work through the CEC functionality but there is no way to get the volume control working except via the infrared sensors or IP commands. Do you know how long it will take to add support and if the update will be automatically applied?

Thanks for submitting that feedback! Just to be transparent, it may take some time for new functionality to take effect, however, any updates should either be automatically applied if it is a software update. For any firmware updates, you can double-check the settings on your Chromecast to see if there are any updates.

Best regards,

Jeran
