Chromecast IP seen in router, pings from device, Google Home says device not available. N

Chromecast seen in IP arp table, can ping from all device. Google Home app says device not available and can not cast because there are no devices. Device setup successfully.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. You mentioned that your Chromecast device is successfully set up. If this is an older version of Chromecast (non-Google TV), it should be in Ambient mode. If it’s in Ambient mode yet the Google Home App is not detecting it as an available device, chances are the phone may be on a different network (could be on LTE) or bandwidth (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz). Also, ensure that VPN is off (if you have one) on your phone. Try using another device to isolate it. Let us know how it goes.
