Chromecast Paramont plus blue square

I have a random issue.  A few times I’ve experienced a blue square pop up in the middle of streaming.  I don’t watch a lot but the past couple of times it happened when watching a soccer game on Paramount Plus.  

Any ideas what it means?

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the late response. Let's check on this further.

 

Quick questions: Is this only happening when watching videos from Paramount Plus? Does the blue square also occur when watching other videos from Paramount Plus? Please reinstall the Paramount Plus app and reboot your Chromecast. Also, try to change the Chromecast video setting to 50Hz.

This has only happened three times.  I don't watch many shows so I don't have a lot of hours to evaluate the problem.  My family hasn't complained about the issue but I will double check with them.  The only times I've seen the issue is when watching (three) soccer games and it doesn't happen every time.

I will reinstall the app and keep an eye on the issue.  I'll also play with the 50Hz setting.  Will changing this setting disrupt using other apps like Netflix, Hulu, etc?

Understood and thanks for getting back to us. Changing the setting to 50Hz should not disrupt the videos with other supported apps.
