Hello everyone,
I bought the Google Chromecast with Google TV in November 2020, very happy with it apart from a bug with the wifi that has never been fixed (in case of a power outage, once restarted the wifi doesn't work and the Chromecast needs another reboot to connect again).
Another thing that is bothering me is that as an official Google device, it never receives a major update and is still stuck to Android TV 10.
I know that Android TV 12 is still in beta, but I'll expect at least to have Android 11 as other devices that are not sold by Google as the "Xiaomi TV Stick 4K" for example. Is there a reason why the official Google device hasn't received this major release?
Thanks for your answers.

Hey there latilou85,
I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Unfortunately, Google doesn't exactly have an official reason for using Android 10. I can imagine that it's because certain software may not place nice with newer versions, or that Android 10 is more stable for the device, but I cannot say for sure. If you think that upgrading to Android 11 or 12 in the future should be on Google's agenda, I would submit feedback via Google TV to let them know.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran
