Chromecast audio delay

Chromecast audio is delayed and cannot be fixed through the home app. Hasn’t happened before. I have reset the device, turned it off and on. I’ve tried going through other apps and streaming services. Network is working fine and wifi is normal. How do I fix the delay?

Hi Alan10,

 

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. A few questions: What Chromecast device are you using? When did it start? Were there recent changes with your network? Have you tried a different casting source?

 

Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

 

  • Plug in your Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV
  • Reboot your TV and Wi-Fi router.
  • If possible, try it on another TV

Cheers Kimy,

The issue has resolved itself overnight. I still am not sure what caused it but when I get home I’ll answer those questions just so people know what to look for. I don’t know how it solved itself but my initial thinking is that it was a network issue.
