For a long time now, every time i cast a video onto Chromecast either through the built in smart tv app or a physical Chromecast device, the audio is abhorrent. Every now and then the audio has an absolute meltdown and starts skipping and completely distorting. This only happens on my laptop (Alienware m15 r7). My partner's mac book does not have this issue so I do not know what the issue is, but it lies with my laptop.

Hi Kwheeler253,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. You mentioned that this is isolated to your Alienware laptop only since your wife’s Macbook can cast with no issues. I suggest you give our friends at the Google Chrome Help Community a shout. They may know a particular setting that can be toggled in Chrome://flags, or they may have a workaround for this. Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Kimy

Hello Kwheeler253,
Thanks for the reply. Hopefully, you'll find the answer you’re looking for from our friends and different users in the Chrome community. Let us know if you have concerns with your actual Chromecast device.
Cheers,
Kimy
