Chromecast automatically plays after 10 minutes

After a video on the Chromecast is paused or stopped for 10 minutes (mainly YouTube), the Chromecast disconnects like it should but then it appears to reconnect and starts playing either the last video if it was paused or it picks a random video or preview to start playing.

The older generations of Chromecast have never done this for me. They would properly go to the ambient screen after ten minutes inactive.

I've double checked that auto play is set to off, preview with sound is set to off, and I've disconnected my device from the Chromecast. We also completely factory reset the Chromecast.

How do we get it to stop playing on its own?

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Please reboot the Chromecast and plug it in on a different HDMI port on your TV. Also, try to reinstall the affected apps and observe the behavior.
