Chromecast can't reduce volume when our assistant is listening.

Can we please get the option to reduce volume on TV when our google home assistant is listening. 

Older chromecast devices could do it, so why not the new one? 

When the TV is on and i wanna give a command (like "pause the video" or "turn off the lights") , i don't wanna have to mute the TV beforehand, so my nest mini can understand me.

I'm good thanks.

It's simply not something the new chromecast is able to do at the moment (and properly never)

I have send feedback about it.

It's really disappointing though. But hey, tech sometimes is.

No problem! Thank you for submitting feedback on that, if Google gets enough reports on a particular feature or issue on their devices, they are more likely to prioritize implementing that change.
