Chromecast doesn't turn off Sony TV

I'm having a strange problem with my SONY TV, the Chromecast interacts with it perfectly, volume / input / etc. But when I push the power button to turn off system, it will turn off the SONY TV, but then after a second it turns it back on again. The chromecast is still off at this point so the TV is just "awaiting input" but it stays on until I use the TV remote to turn it off. Very frustrating.

Both TV firmware and Chromecast firmware are fully updated and HDMI-CEC (or whatever it's called) is on

Thank you for the help Jennifer! Turns out I setup both my TV and Soundbar and there was no need to do both, because they're already syncing with each other through HDMI-CEC, the remote was turning off one and then the other, which was actually turning everything back on. I removed the Soundbar and now it's working perfectly! THANK YOU.

Hi SpeedGeek,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please try to plug in your Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV and reboot your Chromecast and TV? Removing and re-adding your TV under the remote and accessories settings might also help. Once done, try to set up again the buttons on your Voice remote.

Thanks,

Jennifer
