Chromecast keeps restarting

Hello,

I'm having problems with my Chromecast 2.gen where it seems to suddenly and frequently restart or crash.

I've tried to restart it, reset to factory settings, delete the device and set it up again and change the power supply.

But nothing seems to work. Is there anything else I can try, or is it simply that I need to buy a new and updated Chromecast?

I’m sorry to hear about what’s happening on your Chromecast device. Just to check, is its power cable plugged into the wall outlet or into the TV? Try to plug it directly into the outlet. Try as well to plug it into a different HDMI port. If you have another TV, connect the Chromecast device there and check if it would do the same behavior.

Yes, one of the tips I read was to plug the power supply to an outlet and not the TV. So I tried this, but Chromecast keeps randomly restarting.
