Hello, I have the chromecast tv installed on my tv and a yamaha rx-v475 sound system on my tv's hdmi arc, why doesn't it play 5.1 sound on Netflix?

solved, I have connected the chromecast tv to the yamaha rx-v475 instead of the TV and it is already in 5.1

Hey there,
Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.

I understand that sound issues can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried? Have you enabled that setting within Netflix?

Please let me know.

Best regards,
Garrett DS

Hello Garret, thank you very much for answering, nothing happens because it takes time to answer
I still have the same problem, it does not get the sound in 5.1
What setting do you mean on Netflix?
I have the Chromecast connected to like this
In one of the HDMIs of my home cinema Yamaha rx-v475 I have a pc connected and download the netflix application from the Windows store and so if I get sound 5.1
Attached photo, does not laugh much at the drawing Haha

Hey there!

It looks like montorez was able to get that 5.1 sound working, so I'm locking the thread. As always, feel free to make a new thread if you have any more questions or concerns.

Thank you for your help, Garrett!

Best regards,
Jeran
