I am setting up a new chromecast onto the wifi for a friend. It says connected to the wifi and connected to the device however it then asks to sign in with google account and it is unable to do it. I have tried resetting and starting again and using different devices with no luck.
Is there something I am doing wrong?

A few questions — what type of Chromecast device do you have? What exact message are you getting when signing in to the Google Account?? Are you signing in the Google Account in the Google Home app? If you have a Chromecast with Google TV device (4k) or (HD), have you tried setting it up via the Chromecast Voice Remote?
