Chromecast’s Remote stopped working and overheats when trying to reset

The same thing happens to me as other users like:

Suddenly the remote control stopped working and when trying to reset by removing batteries and pressing Home, the LED did not light up at all, only the remote control began to heat up.

Hi @SaMaTi 

Could you check if your remote is up to date? 
Go to settings --> Remote --> here you can validate if it is up to date.

About two weeks ago it was updated, but now I have the controller deleted, since I tried everything to make it work again. I can't tell you what version it was on before I deleted it.

Hi, i have the same problem with you.. my remote is not working and heating up when i replace the batteries also LED light is not blinking. I tried several times but still not change. I purchase it on 2021 and the problems occur 2 days ago.. any solution for this?
