Chromecast setup error

Hi, we just brought brand-new google chromecast 3 but while we are trying to set up, we had an eror says ‘this device was used by another user, please reset the  device’s factory settings.’ We could not understand, if this device means mobile phone , we do not want to reset the phone. We did not use this one with any other chromecast before.  Phone—> Huawei Y62019 Android 9.1.0. Could you please help me? Thank you in advance.

We restarted the chromecast and it worked. Thank you for your interest and help 🙏

Hi @Sanerm,

Does your phone have a Google Play store and Google Play services installed?
Maybe this is causing issues because Huawei phones don't always come with Google services installed.

And the error you are getting is possibly referring to the Chromecast instead of your phone.
Please try factory resetting the Chromecast by holding the reset button while having power.
