Chromecast start up volume on MAX everytime

Always starts at full - blow your head off - volume NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO.

This affects Netflix, youtube and others.

As you are no doubt aware, these are some of the MOST WIDELY AND COMMONLY USED APPLICATIONS FOR CHROMECAST.

It has been at least 8 YEARS since this topic has been discussed ON MANY MANY MANY FORUMS, and everyone, more or less, says the same thing... VOLUME AIRWAYS MAX'S OUT ON SRART.

Now please, after 8 years, you guys have already asked all the usual questions, so please, just sort it out. It's not the setting or the casting device or this or the that, it's the chromecast. And this is for one..... simple...... reason.... And that is.....

it's the chromecast, it's not happening when other mediums are used....

Its... The.... Chromecast. Period.

But look, let's be honest, I know you won't sort it out - god only knows why not (I mean jees, it's not like you don't have the funds!) - but for some strange reason, you won't.

So if I'm right, and you don't, then can you at least explain why not. I mean come on! We put a person on the moon sooooo......I think you can explain this, don't ch'ya think, huh? (but 10:1 you won't even do that.) it's probably just a firmware patch so the only conclusion I can reach is that for some psychological reason, you won't because it gives you the opportunity to feel special, and important.

Oh well life's not fair, so don't worry, I'll get over it (now who famously said that I wonder.....?)

Have a nice day.

Hi jaadaefej,

Thank you for posting. I'm sorry that the volume unexpectedly turned high; this could be frustrating.

Here is an article to check and review to troubleshoot the issue of using advanced sound settings for Chromecast with Google TV.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Byron

Unfortunately this persistent issue has started affecting speakers with builtin chromecast as well. Starting a new casting session, via Phone or Assistant voice command, frequently maxes out the volume unexpectedly before users can intervene.

Which for soundbar systems is... yikes.
